This is long overdue, but as they say, “Better late than never!” I finally have pictures of our chicks we have had for several weeks now. Hope you enjoy the farm photos!

Yes, the bunnies are doing fine. Benny has been having some trouble with our 97 degree heat though. Just have to mist him every now and then and he does fine.

Here’s our pond complete with fish. As you might notice, some rocks are missing at the back. We believe the snake’s hideout is under those rocks. We were getting ready to kill it yesterday when we saw it because we figured that when our chicks produce eggs, we might be fighting snakes then. Plus, we have had two fish disappear. But, at the last minute we decided that it eats mice and we should keep it. Regardless, I kinda think we should have killed it.

This is the bike shed. Dad built it to get the bikes out of the shop. The frame of this storage is the play fort.

Inside the bike shed. My bike is the one on the far right. Most of our bikes are hung up in the garage. These are the ones that are used the most.

There’s the shop and behind it is the 8′ by 8′ chicken palace.

The green posts mark the chicken run. I’d guess the run is 8′ by 12′. It doesn’t have The chicken wire on yet.

This door will serve as an entrance and exit for the chickens in and out of the palace into the run.

This is door into the palace.

Inside is the future egg factory operators.

Learning the right posture for laying eggs.

King Queen on the mountain feeder.

This is the back of the palace. This is just a 30″ storage to get the garden tools out of the bike storage.

The roof that I installed. (Don’t look too close)

Here’s the spring garden. We have already picked all of the lettuce and everything else is dying in the heat. The beets are doing well however.

Our summer garden. We have tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, dill, oregano, basil, parsley, egg plant, blackberries, strawberries, grapes, cherries, and more. (Not all of the things I mentioned are in this particular garden.

This is our garden that we really don’t spend much time on. Because of that, it is very overgrown. However, Mom recently spent quite a bit of time pulling weeds. It looks much better after that!
