“Is That a Tornado Siren?”

Filed under: Weather — Nathan @ 10:52 pm

Yesterday, it was cooler and we had wind gusts from the south that were up to 40 mph. I kept thinking the tornado siren would go off. At about 4:00, it happened. I was sitting by the family room window looking at pictures.

I heard my mom’s voice from up stairs saying, “Is that a tornado siren?”

“I don’t think so.” My sister, Susanna said. (When she was practing violin.)
I went to the front door and opend it. I could hear a siren clearly. “The perfect time for some action!” I told myself. Right then, I went to the radio. “Tornado warning in Sedgwick County.” I thought to myself “ACTION IS HERE!” :D The radio continued “We have spotted rotation, but not a Tornado yet.” The storm was on the east side of town. The only thing was that it was moving 50 mph. not too much action because it was moving so fast! What caused the storm was that strong wind from the West and South East met which caused rotation.

We are having mild temps at mid to upper 80s right now.
Even though it is a stay up late Friday night, I’m getting a little sleepy. C U L8R
