We watched The History Of The World conference last week. I watched it several times to gain maximum understanding. This is mostly Doug Philip’s wording. I will be covering a lot of ground, so sit tight!

The Mayas were unknown to the west. It is a mystery how they got to South America. Whether they crossed a land bridge, or they came across in boats, they are very, very different from the North American Indians. Coming across in boats seems more likely than the land bridge idea. If they came across on boats, they would be incredibly advanced, knowing a lot about navigation, using the stars. That would be tremendous advances in technology.
Their temples were similar to the Egyptian and Babylonian temples which is evidence that they came from the middle east area. Even most evolutionists basically agree that life started around the Mesopotamia area. We creationists that believe in the world wide flood and the tower of babel would say that after the tower of babel, people scattered across the earth.

The Mayas lived well over a thousand years, some would argue two thousand years. So, how long ago did the Mayas live? Before I answer that question, we have a problem. The problem is with modern etymology, evolutionary linguistic studies and cultural anthropology. We believe that the Mayas were formed around 500 years after the Usher date for the Babel dispersion. There are similar dates for the founding of the Aztec and Inca civilization. Not much is known about the Mayans at that time. It is mostly speculative.

The Maya’s calender was within .002 exactness of today’s calender! This is without the atomic clocks and computers that we take advantage of. They were able to calculate it with incredible accuracy! They relied on it. The ability for the priest to control and manipulate the people relied on it that they would know to the minute, to the hour when the sun would act in a particular way. Based on the temple’s relationship to the sun and to the moon, they would bring their prophecies, oracles and their bloodlettings to the people. The design of the Maya’s buildings acts as a perpetual clock, still accurate, accurately making cycles of the planets with the visible bodies of our own solar system.

We talk about the number “zero” all the time. We don’t realize how incredibly special this is. The concept of zero is a highly advanced mathematical concept. Not all cultures use zero. They don’t know what zero means, so they’re limited. With the Mayas, the concept of zero existed. There were three symbols which were used in writing numbers. There was a dot for 1, a bar for 5, and a stylized shell for zero. All other numbers were written by combining these together, allowing the Mayans to do very advanced computations. The Mayans were absolutely obsessed with time, and the concept of time, as it related to the stars and world in a grandiose perversion of God’s emphasis on time. The Mayans mastered the satanic perversion of the biblical doctrine “number your days.” They used that to destroy their own flesh, their own people, and their sons and daughters. No other culture of their time was so obsessed with time.

Like other Meso-Americans, they had two calendars. One was used to calculate religious ceremonies, festivals, and predicting the destiny of people. The other calendar was their solar calendar which contained 18 months of 20 days with 5 additional “unlucky” days. If you have already done the calculation, 18 X 20 + 5 = 365 days! The Mayans had a completely accurate calendar–off just by a fraction.

It was twisted to a satanic theme. Their god was the snake god. These cultures knew about Adam and Eve; they changed the names. They new about the garden, but they perverted it. Also, they new from the beginning there was a battle against forces, one of which was the serpent that they identify as their god. Their snake god was called Kulkulcan (Quetzacoatl.)
“Central to the Mayan culture and religion was history and eschatology. The theology of the Mayans included the belief that the world had been created five times and destroyed four times. This belief was foundational to Meso-American religion. Notably, a reptile (dinosaur?) creature dominated the pantheon of Mayan gods. These gods were dualistic in nature. Each of the gods possessed both a benevolent and a malevolent character quality. The Mayas believed in an afterlife, but their heaven was exclusive to those who had been hanged, sacrificed, or who died in childbirth. The remainder of society went to xibal, or hell, a dark place ruled by the Lords of Death.”

The Mayans sacrificed people to their gods. After cutting out the person’s heart on top of their temple, they would toss the person down the temple steps. It was very important to get blood on their temple steps. Blood had to be poured out everywhere. This would satisfy the god’s hunger. This temple was not the only place of sacrifice.

The temple was even designed so that every year it looked like the snake god was descending down the temple steps. This was due to the way the temple was positioned to the sun. As the sun would move, a shadow would move down the steps and appeared to be a snake going down the steps.

The Great Ball Court is designed very amazingly. Being 300 yards long, you would think it would be very hard to hear someone on the far other side. At Chichen-itza, The home team leader would sit on the far end, and the visiting team leader would sit on the other end. They were elevated, to be higher than anybody else. They could whisper to each other without anybody else hearing them! Their buildings were designed perfectly to accomplish this. They could hear each other very clearly.

How the game was played, is that the two teams try to get the ball through the ring on the wall. The first team to get the ball through the ring wins. So if you get the ball through, you win! Scholars thought that the losers were sacrificed, but now, they believe it was the winner. So, if you win, you get the privilege of having your head chopped off. They believed that blood was necessary to redeem the land. If your crops weren’t doing well, you needed blood.

Sometimes after they would perform their sacrifices, they would throw the bodies into deep pits of water. They would also throw emeralds in with the body. This would satisfy the water god, snake god, and the earth god. To this day, thousands of bodies remain in this pool. It is a horrifying place to be and to consider what happened there.

This is not like a nation against a nation, although the Mayans certainly did that. This is priests convincing parents to do it to their own children! And the Mayans doing it themselves to themselves! How does this happen?

Here’s something to keep in mind; as bad as the Mayans were, the Aztecs were only worse.

For the Mayans, it was a couple of sacrifices on special occasions, day after day. Maybe a couple hundred people a year or a couple thousand. For the Aztecs in dedication to their great temple, 20,000 people a day. Next day, 20,000 people. By the end of 4 days, 80,000 people were sacrificed.
We are shocked that parents could do this to their children under the influence of the priests.

Here are two startling conclusions about the the Mayan people:

• Rather than experiencing steady evolution, the architectural and technological record indicates that these cultures devolved over time.
• The Mayan Empire was not destroyed externally but internally as an act of Divine and ironic judgment for their moral depravity.

There is great debate over what happened to the Mayas. Based on research that seems to have a tremendous amount of credibility to it, is that the Mayans killed themselves. Not through mass act of suicide, not through an intention to kill themselves, but here’s what they did. The pool that I talked about, where they threw the bodies in, they drank from that pool. As time went on, drinking their children’s bodies, they became polluted, and they became sick and died.

They are gone. They have vanished. Their buildings are still there, their drawings are still there, their sculptures are there, but the people are gone. It is like God decided to leave the buildings there as a testimony to evil. This is what happens when you defy God, when you hate his law, and when you eat your children. There are no people, but their buildings are still there for us to see.

Here are the Messages of the Mayas:

1. Culturally “advanced” and technologically and scientifically brilliant cultures are capable of remarkable atrocities.
The United States of America has been the “most rich and prosperous nation,” and yet this says nothing about our morality. It says absolutely nothing about our potential to be the greatest murderers in all of history.

2. Even cultures founded in godliness are capable of degenerating to such an extent that they promote, as “virtuous”, unspeakable horrors.

Child sacrifice is as old as Babel. We see it in dozens of passages where God points out nations that sacrifice their own children.

“And the Avites made Nibhaz amd Tartak, and the Sepharvites burnt their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.” 2 Kings 17:31

“Moreover he [Ahaz, King of Israel] burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.” 2 Chronicles 28:3

It was the Hebrews themselves, the people of God, the people who received the law of God, the blessing of God, the people who were to be in covenant with God, the holy people of the earth, killed their children!

“And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.” 2 Kings 17:17

Let’s go back in time a little more than 60 years ago. The Nazis had a technique to carry out the final solution. They weren’t going to use the Waffen-SS to carry out their plan; they were going to use ordinary men. They wanted to get the farmer, carpenter, and the baker to help them pull the trigger. The Nazis used these ordinary men in a situation which was so unbelievable, and as they were trying to sort through the horror of the situation, they gave these innocent men ethical challenges that these men did not have the biblical foundation to answer. The Waffen-SS turned to one group of men and said, “I want you to shoot all the children. Those men over there are shooting all the mothers. If you don’t shoot the children, it will break the hearts of the children because the mothers are being killed.” Then, they went over to the people who were shooting all the mothers and said, “We want you to shoot all the mothers. The justification is that you are doing a mercy for them. You are giving them mercy because those people are shooting all the children.” They convinced these ordinary men that they were doing a kindness to get rid of these mothers and children. They believed it and stopped thinking of people as people. The potential of the mind in a depraved state, to accept unspeakable horrors, is demonstrated in full view.

3. “Ordinary” men and women are capable of being so desensitized to evil that they tolerate, accept and promote unthinkable atrocities.

What’s a day like for a Mayan?

Wake up in the morning, eat breakfast, go out to the field and work, paint a pot, eat lunch, dig your field, go down to the temple and watch your neighbor’s son be thrown down the steps after his heart has been cut out, then go home, eat dinner, talk to your wife, go to bed, wake up the next day, and start all over again. How is this possible? It is the depraved heart of man. But in America, we have long ago accepted the principle of the Mayas. We still accept it, and today, WE PAY MONEY FOR IT!

Margret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood tried to explain the need for killing children, for wiping them out, keeping them from coming, and creating a “master race.” Margret Sanger’s religion is embraced by Hitler and universities across America and sadly is embraced in churches. In this religion, we are doing a kindness to stop “stupid people,” “mentally defective people,” and “undesirable people.” After all, they are a “burden.” Let’s get rid of them and sacrifice to the great god of evolution and human progress.

Do you think that we are not capable of doing what the Mayans did? We do it all the time. The problem with the Mayans, now with Americans, is that the neighbor down the street, she’s a murderer. When you went out with the business group to the company dinner, those friends, they’re murderers. They laugh at that. Because in modern America, “it is okay to kill people if you have a good justification.”

4. One of the greatest dangers facing any society results when parents entrust their children to the state to be managed and educated by scientists/priests of a false religion.

The architects of our modern education (John Dewey and Stephan J. Gould) are the “high priest” of our day and age. They may not wear white robes but they are priests. “When you send your child to a government school, you’re sending them to hell. You’re sending them to be under the oversight and the dominion of men and woman who are at war with God.” (D. Phillips) This matters so much. It matters because the destiny of our children and the future of our nation is on the line.

5. Nations that worship athletics, ungodly violence, and communicate a fascination with death and darkness, are well on the way to ritual public sacrifice and blood sport.

We are there. Athletics is a primacy in American culture. The love of violence is here. The fascination with death which is in our films, WE ARE WELL ON OUR WAY TO RITUAL PUBLIC SACRIFICE AND BLOOD SPORT. It may manifest itself differently than the Mayas, but no mistake, it is emerging.

6. God destroys and wipes from the earth, those nations which engage in child sacrifice, idolatry and perversion.

He did it with Sodom. Ninevah and Tyre are long gone. They will never return. We will never meet Ninivites of that order or who continued in that empire. The Mayans are gone. Though people claim to be of Mayan descent, their civilization has been dead for 500 years. Don’t kid yourself. We will go the way of the Mayan civilization. We will go the way of every nation that embraced perversion in child sacrifice. Terry Schiavo has been starved alive by her husband who simply “didn’t want her to be tortured by being fed” and who chose to starve her alive and murder her. You might be thinking that her “quality” of life was bad. If you think this, in one way or another, you have embraced the philosophy of the Mayans.

7. God chooses unusual and ironic instruments of judgment to chastise and punish those who despise Him and His law.

It will be ironic and maybe surprising how God takes down a powerful nation. The Mayans drank their own children and got sick. The Romans were bloated with food with their love of sports and sat in their coliseum eating food while the barbarians came in and killed them. The Romans didn’t offer any defense.
Here in America, we are going down fast. People are losing jobs, the stock market is tanking. Isn’t it ironic that we, “the most prosperous country in the world,” are going through America’s greater than ever depression? We are going down. We are wiping ourselves out by the leaders we elect, by the mass murdering we do. It’s ironic isn’t it? What should we do right now? While we find ourselves under attack by wicked infidels, we need to do what the puritans did when they asked God what they had done to wrong him. We need to ask him how we can examine ourselves. We must humble ourselves before the Lord and repent of our national sins. We and our leaders need to be willing to say, “We have sinned, we have done wrong, and we repent; have mercy on us, God.” God gave us a memorial in the Bible, in the book of Jonah about a nation that was wicked and pagan and without any hope; this was the nation God saved. He didn’t save the Jews at that time but the pagans! What did they do? They repented and put on sackcloth and ashes. They lived more than a century because of it. We cut our children to pieces, and stand in judgment over the Nazis, we look at the Mayans, and we say, “Who were these barbaric people?” We need to remember, we are just as barbaric. We must exchange the present culture of death, for a culture of life.

Right now there are two noticeable groups of people who are having children. First of all, there are the Muslims, and they are having lots of them. In fact, they are having so many that Europe is soon to be Muslim. France is going to become Muslim very soon. Europe is being turned upside down because of mass Muslim births. They understand that children are essential to carrying out their vision. In America Christians don’t want to have children, except for a small handful of Christians who believe children are a blessing. If you tell the Lord, “Lord, I love children, children are a blessing to me and I will think of them as arrows, I will take all you give me, and I will raise them for Your glory;” if you do this, you can change the world. You don’t need to run for office or lead an army, although those are fine things to do. If you are a faithful family man for the cause of Christ’s glory and you raise your children to be covenant keepers against the kingdom of hell, against the Mayans, against Margret Sanger, and against all the political elites that would ravage our families, you name it. God has given us a weapon called faith. To the extent that she has exchanged the culture of life for the culture of death, the Church must repent. God doesn’t save nations because of majority, he saves them because of faithful minorities, notably the people of Jesus Christ. The first principle of righteous government, is the preservation of innocent life. May God help us to build a culture of life.
