Evidence for Creation and The Bible No.1

Today’s scripture reading is Genesis 1:1-19

In the beginning, God created the earth in six literal days. The intricate ways that God created the universe is so stunning.

The sun and moon have many purposes. The main reason, as mentioned in Genesis 1:16, was to have light. The moon marks the seasons when it goes from a new moon to a full moon back to a new moon every 29 1/2 days. The gravitational pull on the earth from the sun and moon produces tides in our ocean to clean the water and wash food into groups to feed larger fish. Without this system, the oceans would become stagnant and die. This would make life impossible on land as well. Also, if earth didn’t have a moon, earth would wobble back and forth on its axis which would make seasons go out of control. The moon moves away from the earth a little bit every year. If the animals were living millions of years ago, then the earth would now be too close for life to be possible. If the Bible and creation are true, then the earth is around six to ten thousand years old. This means that animals and humans would survive just fine!

Some people say that each “day” could have lasted one million years or one billion years or any other, beside six days. The Six Day Creationist’s answer to that would be that God created the plants on the third day and the sun on the fourth day. The plants need photo synthesis for food. There is no way that the plants could have survived for one thousand years! If it was one literal 24 hour day however, plants would be fine until the next day.

The intricate ways that God created the universe is so stunning. If the earth were closer to the sun, we would die because of the heat and radiation. If it were farther away, oceans and continents would freeze solid.

Plants, animals, and humans are needed to survive. Plants take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. Animals and humans breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Because of this, we all work together and we survive.

Not to mention ways that animals and plants were designed by God–all we can say is “O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” Psalm 104:24

I thought that I would present an animal from “Incredible Creatures That Defy Evolution” with every EFCATB post. Unfortunately, I will not be able to post everyone, but I will post the ones I find. The first animal from vol. 1 is a very interesting beetle. How did the beetle get it’s name? How does it keep from getting eaten by predators? What is the problem with evolution in this?
